Referral!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For those of you checking this blog forgive me I tend to keep up the other blog better! On July 15th we recieved a wonderful blessing...2 beautiful children! Siblings!! our little girl is 2 1/2 and our son is 4 1/2!! I can not post pictures till we officially pass court but trust me they are CUTE!!! Continued prayers and support while we continue on our journey.. It will be a while before we get to meet them and bring them home. As of now no court date is scheduled and they a most likely will not schedule us one until October:( This will be a very hard wait for us. We pray for thier hearts to be comforted while they wait. They are young and don't quite understand. Keep checking our family blog for updates..

2 months DTE
We have now been waiting two months since we submitted our Dossier to Ethiopia...we are 4th in line for siblings and tied in 9th for a boy. Our prayer is for siblings but if they are not available we would except 2 unrelated children, one would most likely come from the WCL( older children 5 and up) While we wait we continue to pray for the remaining funds that are needed especially now... we are now required to travel to Ethiopia twice. Once to meet our children and to go to court and then 8-12 weeks later we travel again to go bring them home. We have already been on this journey for over 10 months..boy things can change!! Wined back a year and a half and I probably wouldve said you are crazy if you wouldve told me where I would be now! We went from "talking" about our future children to adopting TWO!!! And for the first time in my life I went on a mission trip.....with all complete strangers(except for my sister)!!!! It was the best experience ever and completly life changing! I pray that I will be able to go again and bring my husband and my oldest daughter! I know mission trips will be a very real part of my future! I am so blessed to be able to have my eyes opened... I only wish everyone could experience Gods love in such a way...

Soon to be DTE!!
As long as there are no complications we will offically be on the waiting list as of this Friday! What this means....Our DTE(Dossier to Ethiopia) date will be 2/12/10, this is the date they go by when considering who gets the next refferal. You are put in order of the date your paperwork arrives in Ethiopia and the age and sex of the child or cxhildren you are requesting. The wait for boys is now 3-6 mths and girls are 8-11 mths. Our situation is a little complicated. Our first choice is siblings (boy 0-6mths and girl 18mths-5 yr) If at the time of our turn at the top of the list no siblings are available..we would be open to a referral of just an infant. My goal is for us to have 2 children so we would then choose a child from the WCL(Waiting Child List) a group of children that are 4 yrs and up. So when will we get our children? Only God knows! Our prayer is by summer to fall but we will see, referrals have been moving quickly lately. Keep checking our family blog for updates and please keep us in your prayers.

Quick update
We are still waiting on one last from before we can submit all our paperwork to our adoption agency. After that we get on the list to wait for our refferal. The approximate wait time will be 4-7 months. During our wait we will be working hard to raise our funds needed to bring our children home. Keep checking our family blog for updates.
